We're building a better culture of public conversation by bringing people together from different backgrounds to explore the biggest questions of human life.
We host talks, panels, conversations, and classes in philosophy, culture, and the humanities. Each August, we present our flagship event, the Des Moines Festival of Ideas, a celebration of thought and culture.
